Men want beauty, women want wealthParticipants in a speed-dating event were asked to say what it was they looked for the most when assessing a potential partner. While men wanted to see every second woman again, women were only interested in a third of men and those that seemed to be wealthy. Researchers explained that while humans may pride themselves on being highly evolved, most still behave like the stereotypical Neanderthals when it comes to choosing a mate. An expert said that evolutionary theories in psychology suggest that men and women trade off different traits in each other. We see it when we are looking at the actual mating choices people make.
